Slowly destroying the rainforests, one notebook at a time.

The Twirl and Swirl of Letters

I finished the journal I was writing/planning in last night.

A new one is waiting for me, and another after that. This one’s special. My parents gave it to me for Christmas; it comes from Florence, Italy.

I’m almost afraid to write in it; this hasn’t happened to me before. There is so much potential in those empty pages. The book itself is so beautiful; I hope my words can do it justice.

I’ll take a photo at some point.

  1. I love your blog ๐Ÿ™‚ And your writing style.

I’m conflicted on how I feel about the Kindle. On the one hand I’m afraid of a society without books–yes, yes, I know they’re not being tossed aside, torn asunder and burnt…right?–but on the other, it does save some of the rainforests otherwise in deadly peril from pen/cil wielding writers such as you and me. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Enjoy the new journal!

  2. Thank you! I’m glad that you like my blog; I look forward to reading more of yours! ๐Ÿ˜€

I haven’t seen a Kindle in person yet. I’m interested in testing one out, but there’s something wonderful about having books in hand, isn’t there?

  3. Nothing beats paper. It’s funny, the Kindle in a sense acknowledges it–my dad has a version that shows a font that looks like print in a book (rather than arial or summat). Oddness. Even has a sort of matte look, closer to a book than a screen.

But can you imagine having a library of just one slim little electronic devise?? Perish the thought! ๐Ÿ™‚
